A Case Report on the Brachial Flexus Injury patient caused by Traffic Accident

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: The cause of high traffic volume, traffic accident is happening frequently. Therefore, many diseases are increasing now. I observed one patient who have been injured on the Brachial Flexus by traffic accident.
Methods: This patient was judged incurable in point of western medical¡¯s view. but she was improved by treating oriental medical therapy. The therapies which used in this patient was acupunture-therapy, moxa-therapy, aroma-therapy, physical therapy, consulting to neurologist, and so on. We measured the ROM of Lt shoulder and VAS(Visual Analog Scale) every a week.
Results: The ROM of Flexion( 25¡Æ¡æ110¡Æ), Extension( 15¡Æ¡æ40¡Æ), Abduction( 30¡Æ¡æ80¡Æ), Adduction( 5¡Æ¡æ30¡Æ), External Rotation( 5 ¡Æ¡æ60¡Æ) Internal Rotation( 10¡Æ¡æ45¡Æ) and VAS(Gr9 ¡æGr2) was improved. Also consequence on the Electrodiagnosis became better than before admission.
Conclusion: This case has demonstrated that oriental medical therapies done by the Brachial Flexus Injury produced good results.
